Big Sister-Fun in the Sun

All along with Julia's arrival Kate has been looking forward to one thing- time with Gram and Pop's. And she's not been disappointed. My mom arrived 11 a.m. on Tuesday and she and Kate have been busy ever since. Dad got here on Friday night and immediately had to check Kate's ears for growing M&M's (perhaps explanation is needed in another post if you're not a Harris relation). The weather has cooperated with play (and work here) for their extended visit.

We took out the pool for the season. And Pop's got sand for the sandbox! So there has been plenty of water and sand to play in daily.

This morning the crew (minus J and I) went strawberry picking. It was Kate's first picking.

She came home with grubby fingers and a sticky face but contented with berries.

Thanks to her buddy Lou- who arranged the pick... we now have two batches of freezer jam that Gram made today.
